Job Overview:
As a Daycare Assistant at Stilwell Public Schools, you will support the Lead Daycare Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children ranging from infants to preschool-aged. This position requires a compassionate individual dedicated to supporting the developmental and educational needs of children.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the Daily Operations: Help in organizing and participating in recreational activities, such as games, crafts, and story-telling.
- Child Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, monitoring their activities to prevent accidents.
- Learning Support: Assist in implementing a curriculum that encourages the physical, emotional, and intellectual development of children.
- Hygiene and Health: Help with the hygiene of children, including diapering, toilet training, and assisting with meals and snacks.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with parents and provide updates on their child’s day and development.
- Classroom Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Follow all local, state, and federal regulations concerning child care, including safety and cleanliness standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in early childhood education is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in childcare or education is highly desired.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Certifications: First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred.

Working Conditions:
